Where we come from…

Graduate engineer Wolfgang Borgel founded Borgel Elementbau GmbH in Hörstel in 1998. The first company headquarters? The top floor of a detached house. The founder started with only two other employees: a civil engineer and an administrative employee.

In 2004, the move to the first own, newly built company building in Talstraße 42 marked the beginning of a very dynamic growth phase. In only seven years Borgel Elementbau tripled its construction output.

In 2010, the current, larger company location at Gutenbergstraße 17 was built and, in line with the move, the company cracked a contract volume of over 20 million euros for the first time in the financial year 2011. This volume was achieved again in each subsequent year, with a peak value of EUR 28 million.

Since January 2017, Stefan Wagener, a second managing director, has been jointly responsible for the company’s fortunes. He and the company founder lead more than 50 employees in Borgel Elementbau GmbH and its subsidiaries Borgel Umformtechnik GmbH and Borgel Dach- und Fassadentechnik GmbH.
