Where we come from…

Graduate engineer Wolfgang Borgel founded Borgel Elementbau GmbH in Hörstel in 1998. The first company headquarters? The top floor of a detached house. In the initial phase, the founder had only two other employees: a civil engineer and an administrative assistant.

In 2004, the company moved into its first own newly built building at Talstraße 42, marking the beginning of a very dynamic growth phase. In just seven years, Borgel Elementbau tripled its construction output.

In 2010, the current, larger company location was built at Gutenbergstraße 17. In keeping with the move, the company cracked an order volume of over 20 million euros for the first time in the business year 2011. This volume was achieved again in every subsequent year, peaking at 28 million euros.

Since January 2017, a second managing director, Stefan Wagener, is jointly responsible for the company’s fortunes. He and the company founder manage over 60 employees at Borgel Elementbau GmbH and its subsidiaries Borgel Umformtechnik GmbH and Borgel Dach- und Fassadentechnik GmbH.
